Our founder's journey began with a personal experience. After a family member was quoted $48,000 for a knee replacement in the United States — with a 4-month wait — they discovered that the same procedure at a top-tier hospital in Shanghai cost $11,500, with surgery scheduled within 10 days.
The care was exceptional. The hospital was immaculate. The surgeon had trained at Johns Hopkins. But the experience of arranging it was far from easy — navigating a foreign healthcare system, coordinating translations, figuring out accommodation near the hospital, and managing follow-up care.
